In 2018-2019, 4,319 undergrads - 22% of all Pitt students - enrolled in an Economics course. 

  • 36 Full-time Faculty in the Department of Economics
  • 59 PhD Students in the Department of Economics 
  • 574 Undergraduates major in Economics (61 are pursuing an Economics-Statistics degree and 47 are pursuing an Economics-Math degree)
  • 597 Undergraduates minor in Economics

In 2018-2019, 183 Economic majors graduated from Pitt. Of these, 36 were Cum Laude; 36 were Magna Cum Laude: and 34 were Summa Cum Laude.  In all, 58% of Economics majors graduated with University Honors.
