Pitt's Economics undergraduate program #41 in the country according to latest report.

According to the  2024 U.S. News & World Report Best College report, Pitt's Department of Economics undergraduate programs rank #41 in the nation.  Economics is one of two undergraduate programs making the Top 50 in their respective lists.

"The U.S. News & World Report evaluates colleges and universities on 19 measures of academic quality. This year brought a number of changes to the ranking formula, including removing factors like alumni giving and high school class standing in favor of outcomes-based measures, along with adding two new factors: first-generation student graduation rates and faculty research.

Overall, the University’s Pittsburgh campus ranked No. 32 among public universities and No. 67 among all U.S. universities. Other highly ranked programs include Pitt’s undergraduate business offerings (No. 38) and the computer science program (No. 63). Pitt was named No. 40 in best colleges for veterans."
