Joseph Shields comes to the MQE program as a Pittsburgh native, who attended the University of Pittsburgh to complete his Bachelor of Science in Economics in 2023. He has experience working in the field, having interned with GreyCastle Security working in Business Intelligence for much of the past 15 months. After graduating, he hopes to find work performing data analysis in a field of interest, which includes policy, governance, and sports analytics, but his research interests include the stock market and market analysis in addition to those topics.
