Patricia E. Beeson, Provost Emeritus and Professor of Economics, served as Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor of the University of Pittsburgh from August 1, 2010 to August 1, 2018; she has been a member of Pitt faculty since 1983. During her tenure at Pitt, she served as Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences and as Vice Provost, and as a research associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. Since retiring, she continues to live in Pittsburgh working with some start-up companies (currently 1486 Labs), traveling and enjoying time with family and friends.
