Research Brown Bags

Lunch time is always busy around our department. Brown bags in five different fields—applied microeconomics, experimental, international/development, macroeconomics, and microeconomics—are held weekly or every other week depending on the term, with the result that at least three days per week a graduate student or a faculty member is presenting research-in-progress at a brown bag. The vivid discussions, some of which continue in the corridors after the brown bag is over, are part of the life of our PhD program. These brown bags run in addition to six different field seminars where external speakers are invited to present their work.
